Founder and Lead Career Coach
Catalyst Creation
Catalina Peña is the founder of Catalyst Creation and lead facilitator for the company. She is a 1.5 generation Afrolatina entrepreneur focusing on helping black and brown communities make their dreams career realities
Being an AfroColombian female who immigrated to the US at 9, Catalina knows first hand the struggles underrepresented individuals face in the workplace. As a former recruiter (at companies like FB, Twitter, Andreessen Horowitz, and Asana) she has also seen thousands of qualified job seekers get rejected from the hiring pipeline in Silicon Valley and is passionate about creating solutions to get individuals from these communities hired and empower them to advance in the corporate space.
Since starting Catalyst Creation company in Nov 2019, she has helped 10,000+ job seekers with her job search tips and has empowered 1000+ workshop participants to create lasting career confidence and generate over 500K in salary raises. She also has traveled to 26 countries (including 2 solo), loves to dance, and is trilingual (Spanish and French!)
Our closing session utilizes somatic and neuroscience based coaching methodologies, the ancestral roots of dance for healing, and the power of community-based learning to create a fun, engaging, and actionable emotional regulation closing workshop for Tech Intersection participants.
